2002-2005 / Concrete, gypsum, glass

The project is a renovation of an old brick building constructed in the late 1800’s into Vancouver’s highest profile furniture store, Inform Interiors. The scheme is organized around a deep cut in the centre of the building, in which a generous concrete stair floats. Omer acted as both project lead designer and administrator for this project while at Peter Busby’s office, starting with preliminary meetings with the municipality, design, leading a team through the production of working drawings, and field review of the construction on site.
