Barbican

44 is an immersive light installation commissioned for the Lightwell in the Barbican foyer. Over 151 free-poured aluminium forms were suspended from the ceiling by a matrix of thin cables, evoking both weightlessness and mass and entering into dialogue with the Barbican’s famous bush-hammered concrete surfaces.
