2018 / Blown glass, Copper

We like employing the operation of cutting as a tool to understand our work. In some cases, the resulting artifacts are compelling as pieces in their own right. 84 Scans is a photographic exploration of form, found in glass offcuts, a by-product of the 84.2 vase. These pieces suggest an approach whereby cutting could become a form-generating method, quite apart and beyond its application at an analytical tool.
