Monte Clark Gallery – Omer Arbel

2015, Jan 31 - Feb 28 / Fused glass, Chromium, Steel

This solo exhibition of Omer Arbel featured two sets of sculptural works shown against the backdrop of a traditional gallery setting. 30.0 explores the fusion of numerous glass rods of different diameter, opacity, and hue as they are exposed to a gradient of high temperatures. 71.0 results from an extremely repetitive process that involves submerging bolts wrapped in wire near-countless times into a nickel-based chemical solution with a live electric current running through it.
